NewsSelected for the inaugural Foundervine Accelerator USA cohortBuilt for the Workforce We Actually Have

The future of work is fragmented. We build the tools it runs on.

Three platforms for workforce agencies, small nonprofits, and independent operators. Built for the way work happens now.

The labor market has fragmented faster than the software built to support it.

72 million Americans now work independently. Workforce agencies, small nonprofits, and solo operators run the front line of a labor market that no longer fits the assumptions enterprise software was built around.

Enterprise pricing assumes a procurement department. Implementation timelines assume a project manager. Feature sets assume a job role that no longer exists at this scale.

Capstone Tech builds for the workforce we actually have. Each platform is built from the ground up for distributed teams and independent operators, not as a lite version of software made for someone else.

"I am not building for an underserved audience. I am building for the workforce we actually have."

Why Shawn Built This

I spent 14.5 years in the U.S. Air Force, then managed an $11 billion program portfolio at the Department of the Navy. I hold an Executive MBA from Brown University and IE Business School and an MA in Education Leadership from Chapman University.

I'm also someone who grew up navigating systems that weren't designed with people like me in mind. I lost my mother at 17. I battled homelessness at 22. I've spent most of my career inside the institutions that serve people on the front line of a changing economy: the military, federal program management, nonprofit education, workforce development.

Capstone Tech exists because I've watched workforce agencies, small nonprofits, and independent professionals try to do critical work on software that was never built for them. The infrastructure that supports the modern workforce hasn't caught up to the workforce itself. I'm building it.

How we build.

Three principles behind every product decision.

Built from inside the work.

Two decades operating inside the institutions our customers run: the military, federal program management, nonprofit education, workforce development. Product decisions come from there, not from research interviews.

Purpose-built, not watered down.

Not lite versions of enterprise tools. Platforms built from scratch for distributed teams and independent operators who need full capability without enterprise overhead.

Priced for the workforce we actually have.

Pricing matches the budgets of the organizations buying it. No enterprise minimums, no procurement cycles, no contracts that assume a budget officer.
